Long Night of Science 2019

Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften 2019, HTW Berlin/Jan-Christoph Hartung

As in the previous year, the CBMI took part in the "Long Night of Science" and was involved in the HTW Berlin.

In the heart of Campus Wilhelminenhof, the CBMI presented itself with a multitude of projects and applications to give visitors a feeling for the interdisciplinary research and development projects carried out here.

In beautiful sunshine and with a view to the river Spree, the guests were shown e.g. health technologies of the future and AI-based racing cars.

The visitors were of course also able to play an active part themselves, e.g:

  • in the route creation for the self-propelled racing cars,
  • creating your own handiness profile or a 3D hand scan,
  • as well as in the acquisition of vital data via the sensors created during a workshop.

In addition, guests to the cyber security learning laboratory were shown how quickly sensitive data can be "spied on" and what effects this can have on private, professional and public life as a result of misuse.

The conclusion to be drawn is that it was again a lot of fun to exchange ideas with colleagues* and visitors* on site during the "Long Night of the Sciences".

We are sure that more new, interesting and exciting topics will be added until next year.

Many thanks to all visitors, the organizers and the team on site!
